Dynamic (Alternating) Multi Use System With Battery Backup (Optional)

The only compact battery backup multi-use ALTERNATING (A/P) low interface pressure (Zero Interface Pressure) therapy system available in the market today, where a caregiver can set the desired patient high A/P and the low A/P levels. It is also the first unit to have variable alternating pressure cycle times (1 to 99 minutes). Control unit can be used on any KAP A/P Mattress/Overlay, (K-7) Geriatric Chair Alternating Pad (CAP), (K-8) Neonatal Alternating Pad (NAP), (K-10) Pediatric Mattress (AIRE-KID), (K-12) Wheel Chair Kushion (KUSHION), and (K-14) Operating Room Pad (OR-ZONE). Control Unit (K-7, K-8, K-10, K-12, K-14)

Plug and play auto-sensing multi-use control unit, operates in any country and in automobiles. Single airflow pump, 10~13 LPM (liters per minute).

State of the art micro-controller technology, constantly monitors mattress pressures, automatically sets pressures when patient weight and height are entered. Software flexibility allows customer changes (custom pressures, times, and functions).

User-friendly 4x20 bright blue digital LCD panel with back light for simple user interface, displays current mode, various times, weight and height, patient comfort pressure level bar graph, Zone 1 and Zone 2 actual mattress pressure in mmHg, and various other functions. Customer name and phone number can be displayed on the LCD screen (optional). Solenoids in the pump hold air for days in the event of power failure, or during patient transportation.

Long lasting battery life, provides more than 24 hours of uninterrupted therapeutic support. If the battery becomes depleted the control unit switches to safe mode to provide therapeutic support to the patient. Supports patient therapeutically even in the event of power interruption.

Easy to use dome keys to select various mode functions, patient parameters, custom A/P time 1 ~ 99 minutes, and are also used to adjust patient comfort pressure levels from Soft 6 / 20 ± 4 mmHg to Firm 32 / 60 ± 6 mmHg.

Max Flow mode with 30 minute timer for rapid inflation of the mattress, inflates in 5 ~ 25 minutes depending on the size of the mattress.

Provides effective static, alternating, pulse, massage or multi (combination of all) therapies. In A/P mode, desired high and low pressures in the mattress can be set. Optional Auto Sensor (K-150) automatically detects fowler position & inflates the surface to 20% higher pressure, to eliminate bottoming.

Lock out key completely locks the control panel, to eliminate tampering of the patient settings, including power switch.

Audiovisual alarms in the event of low battery or low pressures (hose disconnect). Alarm silence key to mute alarm. Internal memory always retains current settings during power outage, will resume desired operation upon power return.

Control unit is reliable, quiet, compact and lightweight. For quick inflate please use our K-39 RIDÔ Rapid Inflator / Deflator unit.

Cordless Remote Control (Optional) can be used to turn ON or OFF control unit, select A/P or MAX FLOW modes, and is also used to adjust desired comfort pressure levels using Ñ (Down) and D (Up) arrow keys.

Support Surface (K-7P, K-8P, K-10M, K-12K, K-14P)

Therapeutic support surface consists of superior quality, urethane coated nylon air cushions (4~36 cushions), to provide effective alternating pressure therapy with low interface pressures. K-7, K-8, K-12, and K-14 have 3” high air cushions, and K-10 has 5” or 8” high air cushions.

Low friction and low shear force producing, urethane coated breathable nylon or 4 way stretch material, zippered top sheet, which is liquid proof and highly vapor permeable. OPTIONAL constant air pressure side bolsters / foam bolsters help contain the patient on the mattress. Can be deflated for easy access.

K-10 has 2” convoluted safety foam base or 2” optional air pad base to provide additional support to the patient in the event of power failure.

The air cells are connected to the manifold using quick connectors and fastened to the base. The top sheet is zippered to the base.

Single rugged, bi-lumen hose assembly with connectors for rapid attach and CPR deflate functions. Holds air for days during power failure or transportation.

Complete support surface is made of superior quality materials and is modular in construction. All of the components such as manifold, tubing assembly, air cushions, top sheet, and foam base are interchangeable, and can be easily cleaned or detached for laundry.

Lightweight pediatric surface can be rolled up easily and has two handles or two shoulder straps, which can be used to carry by hand or over the shoulder.
